For most of us, 2020 is not a year we want to look back upon, but for one of Westfield's long time businessmen and residents, it's a year of celebration. Robert "Bob" Ducato began his career with New York Life Insurance Company in 1976 in Westfield N.Y., eventually settling into his permanent office located at 35 Main Street in the heart of the village. After years of being recognized for his sales and service, Bob achieved #1 Agent of the Year for 2020, out of 57 licensed agents with the Buffalo - Erie General Office, receiving an eagle award. This honor comes only once in a career and if you ask how he did it, Bob will humbly say, "I could not do this alone, it's because of my staff and wife Marcia." In his thank you speech over a zoom celebration Bob said, "My clients have become more like personal friends than customers. I guess you could say I am not a transaction oriented individual looking for the big sale; rather I am trying to listen to my clients' needs, wants and desires." A well deserved, and hard earned award.

Achieving Agent of the Year was awarded on sales and service to his clients. Bob was presented with a New York Life blazer with a Chairman's Circle Member of the Buffalo General Office patch. Bob's list of other New York Life career achievements¹ and those from 2020 include: Registered Product Leader, Presidents Council Agent, and Annuity Silver Elite Status. He also has qualified for council 39 times, is a 19 year lifetime member of Million Dollar Round Table², and is currently licensed in over 25 states.
